Tucked along small strip of beachside stores in Alexandra Heads nestles a patisserie too good to be true. I often think, what have we Sunny Coasters done to deserve such deliciousness, better yet beach side too? What a treat am I right? La Petite Souris, (yes, I absolutely cannot help myself but say it in a French accent) A family run patisserie by pastry chefs, Pierre and Aamie can be found just down the hill of Alexandra Heads coming into Maroochydore. Housemade authentic French pastries and cakes served along SCCR specialty coffee has been rumoured to be a match made in heaven! Don’t believe me? I invite you to prove me wrong… 😉
Give us a run down on who you are and your go to choice of coffee?
We are Pierre and Amie, together both the pastry chefs and owners of La Petite Souris. Pierre likes a strong latte, whereas Amie prefers tea :D
What was the inspiration opening La Petite Souris?
We wanted to use our pastry skills and bring delicious high-quality pastries and cakes to others
Why is living on the Sunshine Coast so great? Do you guys miss home?
We love the relaxed atmosphere and landscape of the Sunshine Coast, with beaches and bush in such proximity. We also love the regional produce that is so easily accessible. Having previously come from Sydney and France, we miss family the most.
Any special memories or stories about some of your regular customers?
We have a wide range of cakes and pastries that would take a while to get through it all, but we do have some regulars that have tried everything! We love their enthusiasm when we bring out a new cake

Being keen to support a local Sunshine Coast roastery, we came across SCCR in early 2018 during our research when starting our business. Gary and the team were excellent in assisting us with the setup and we were impressed by their coffee.
What’s next for La petite Souris?
We have been so fortunate to have so many customers that appreciate what we make, and we have grown a lot since opening, we would love to improve our current workspace to enable increased production and be able to offer even more treats.
